Jam sessions, open mics, local performances, etc.
(updated October 21, 2026)
Open Mic and/or Informal Jam (participants' choice) at the Lemon Tree Tap & Tavern first and third Saturdays in the fall (November 7 & 21, December 5 & 19). This schedule may be adjusted based on participant availability and how things generally work out.
Lemon Tree opens at 11:30. Warmup and informal jam generally starts around 6 but you can come earlier and play. Open Mic will have priority 7~9 but it is up to participants what they want to do. Choose to perform, jam, invite the audience to sing along, etc. We keep going as long as there is interest. All abilities and instruments are welcome. A keyboard is available. We have some really good performers show up, but this tends to be a pretty informal event with the emphasis on having fun. You don't have to be a pro to come play, sing, tell jokes or stories, sing along, listen, and enjoy yourself. Audience participation encouraged during the jams.
Preregistration not required, but requested particularly if you want to do an Open Mic. If you are a regular performer and want to be promoted in Facebook and/or email advertising then preregister as early as possible. Registration or questions, please email
.
Karaoke at the Lemon Tree Tap & Tavern is held on an irregular schedule.
"Music Circle" Informal Jam at the Lake Pleasant Public Library generally the first Sunday of every month.** (Nov. 1, Dec. 6, ...) Fall/winter start time is 3 PM and the session typically runs 2~3 hours. All abilities and instruments are welcome. A keyboard is available. If you just know 3 chords or want to sing along, or even just listen, that's great. If you can't play at all but want to learn, you are encouraged to come. We are playing for our enjoyment and as a learning experience. To preregister, email . **Preregisteration not required, however if there are no preregistered/confirmed attendees, the session will be cancelled** probably without much advance notice. You can just show up, but if you are travelling any distance it would be best to contact Pete Newell ahead of time to make sure it is "on." Schedule may change or additional sessions may be scheduled based on participant availability and interest.
To preregister or check event status for the above events, or indicate interest in additional jams, etc., please email
