Open Jam and Open Mic at the Lemon Tree Brewery Tuesdays
August 4, August 18, September 1, September 15
continuing in in the fall if there is sufficient interest.
Lemon Tree opens at 4. Setup and informal jam starts around 5. Event starts about 6 with participants' choice of group jam or individual open mic performance. We keep going as long as people stick around. All abilities and instruments are welcome. A keyboard is available. We have some really good performers show up, but this tends to be a pretty informal event with the emphasis on having fun. You don't have to be a pro to come play, sing, tell jokes or stories, sing along, listen, and enjoy yourself. Preregistration requested but not required. Please email if you are inteterested.

There may also be some impromptu get-togethers at the Lemon Tree. If the weather is good, this might be in the form of a "sing and play around the campfire" out back. If you are interested in doing this please contact Pete Newell .

Informal Open Jam Sessions at the Speculator Farmers Market.
The market is every Thursday 12-4 through September 10. The jam session will occur based on expressed interest. If you are definitely planning to come please email . If no response by Thursday morning, the jam may be cancelled.
No jam on August 13 due to Twigs Craft Fair. (The market relocates to the Lane Emporium parking lot.) If interested in meeting later in the day on August 13 please email.
All abilities and instruments are welcome. Even if you just know 3 chords or want to sing along, or even just listen, that's great. We are playing for our enjoyment and as a learning experience, not 'performing.'
We generally are playing acoustic. We generally do not have a PA, etc. However power is available and electric instruments are welcome (at resonable volume) but you will need a long extension cord if you want to plug in an amp.
Meet in the shade under the roof at the BBQ pit and bring your own chair. If it is a very windy day, we may move to behind the pavilion. In case of inclement weather, we may move to an indoor location (most likely the Lake Pleasant Senior Center, 2881 Route 8, Speculator ) or the jam will be canceled.
**There is no set time for the jam session, but generally about 1:00~3:00. It just depends on who shows up and how long they stay. We have occasionally still been playing after the market is over, but if no one shows up by about 2 PM, the remainder will be cancelled.**

"Music Circle" Informal Jam at the Lake Pleasant Public Library generally the first Sunday of every month. No jam September 6. An alternate September date may be selected if there is expressed interest. Summer start time is noon and the session typically runs about 3 hours. All abilities and instruments are welcome. A keyboard is available. If you just know 3 chords or want to sing along, or even just listen, that's great. We are playing for our enjoyment and as a learning experience. To preregister, email . Not required, however if there are no confirmed attendees, the session will be cancelled. You can just show up, but if you are travelling any distance it would be best to contact Pete Newell ahead of time to make sure it is "on." Additional Sunday sessions will be scheduled if there is definite interest.
